Aha!

I finally discovered who has been putting Natalie's socks in the wrong drawer.

It's Natalie!

Today after we came back from therapy, she took her shoes off (crossing a leg over the other leg, as her PT Caryn showed her...it stretches her hip flexors). Then a couple minutes later I saw her take her socks off and put them in her drawer! I had been wondering who was putting her socks in that drawer (not the drawer they go in). You can see (can't you?) the two pink socks balled up in the middle...it's understandable if you can't, because they're on top of more pink clothes.

Natalie has the top two drawers of the dresser and Lukas has the bottom two...because Lukas is able to dress himself and put (some) clothes away. Now we'll have to switch Natalie to the bottom two drawers since Lukas is now taller and can see inside the top two drawers...and we can start teaching Natalie to take clothes out and put them away.

Since the day after she started walking, I taught her to put her dirty clothes in the laundry basket in the morning and at night...and she hears me telling Lukas to put his socks away. I'm so proud of her for learning by listening and observing, without direct instruction!

That's a great idea (putting clothes away or in the hamper when he's done) for Logan to do..I always forget about the little things he CAN do, but I don't push him enough on it!! Know what I mean???
