Did you know Natalie can count?

Neither did I!

Today we were playing hide-and-go-seek and I was counting to 20 while Lukas hid. I suddenly realized that Natalie was saying the next number after each number I said!

I've tried to capture it on video here. This isn't the first take, but I think it's the best, although I got a little carried away and continued to tape her talking about letters (please excuse the length...just stop if it gets too long for you...but you have to see her counting!)

I've been meaning to take video of her speaking, but it's hard to do with two other boys vying for my attention. This was taken while Konrad was napping and Lukas was playing with Mr. Potato Head (you can hear him pipe in at one point).

So Natalie skips "seven", but I remember Lukas doing that too, when he was learning to count. And she actually counted to 20, but I couldn't get her to do it here, because she was distracted by the letters.

Miss Natalie just amazes us more and more each day!

She is amazing! I guess you just don't get a feel for how much of a talker a kid is through a blog - I had no clue she was such a great enunciator and quick talker. Then the letters and counting! Nothing stopping this tiny little peanut.

Really, my eyes welled with pride for your girl during every second of this video. I so hope to meet her one day.

Joy to you.
