Memorial Day, part 2

Last year, Tom took Lukas and Natalie to a local cemetery, restarting a tradition he had several years ago of remembering those who gave their lives in service to our country on Memorial Day. This year, our whole family and Kathrin went. Hey, everyone is walking now, so it's easier to get out than it was last year.

Lukas enjoyed finding all the grave sites with stars on them (for Civil War veterans), but it was a little like herding cats to get the kids together...they were all running off in different directions. A cemetery looks a little too much like a park, doesn't it?

But a tradition has to start somewhere, and it has to be kept up!
