We love visiting Tom's sister's home in Ventura. Patrice and Patrick are such wonderful hosts, and the kids love exploring their home and backyard, that we can't help having a relaxing and refreshing visit every time we go.
The lawn frogs were a point of interest this year, as was the ride in the wheelbarrow...Disneyland should consider wheelbarrow rides!
Tom did his usual sailing expedition with Patrick (Patrick loves the company) and this time, Kathrin joined them. We went to the park one day (it was too cold for the beach...last year was much warmer) and just played a lot in the backyard.
We couldn't have had more fun, and we arrived home happy too, since packing and unpacking the new van is really easy and we left late enough to avoid traffic.

Brilliant idea about wheelbarrow rides and Disneyland! I'm glad you had a great time with your family. The kids look like they enjoyed every minute of it.
