Natalie had 2 hours of therapy this morning (the usual 1 hour of PT, plus an hour of OT since she's not in summer school), and Doris is going home next week, so we used the time during Natalie's therapy to make a last visit to the beach for Doris.
Nine o'clock in the morning in California means there's often still a lot of clouds at the beach, as was the case this morning. We were one of the few people sitting on the beach...most everyone there was surfing, until hundreds of junior lifeguard trainees ran by. It was so early that the water was warmer than the air.
Lukas and Doris spent almost an hour swimming in the surf. Konrad got his toes wet, then decided to stay out of the water and get really sandy instead. That's progress for Konrad! He's slowly becoming more comfortable getting wet when it's not bathtub-warm, unlike Lukas and Natalie, who would play in the water all day if they could, no matter what the temperature.
At one point Lukas was yelling, "Help, Mom, help!" for several minutes. Ironically, it was when the junior lifeguards were running by. I saw several of them look at him and smile. Watch this video and see if you think he needs help.

Looks like an amazing time. I wish I could get to the beach more often. It's hard to do with an infant..
I wish we lived close to the beach! The boys would love it!
