Even in this day and age when many shoes are available with Velcro closure, Lukas can now tie his shoes. He's not fast (it takes him a full minute). But he learned pretty quickly in my book! He has only one pair of shoes with laces...but now we can look at more shoes with laces!
Anyone have childhood memories of learning to tie your shoes? I remember being five and acting like I didn't know how so my oldest brother, visiting home from college, would tie them for me...he didn't know the rule that I was to tie my own shoes, since I liked to get other people to do it for me. I remember sulking and then finally deciding I would just go ahead and do it.
