We're home! Natalie slept well last night...it's good one of us did! I should have worn my ear plugs (I brought them) but didn't, and the noises of a night in the hospital woke me up several times.
When Natalie woke up she saw her cup (which I had brought from home) and asked for it. We finally got her breakfast, which was apple juice and 2 cups of jello. She ate the jello quite quickly. The doctor saw her, and saw that she was tolerating clear liquids, so he advanced her diet to normal. So for morning snack she had graham crackers and milk.
For lunch she had pizza, peas, fruit and ice cream. Here's a picture of her putting her peas in her ice cream. Somehow she likes to have more texture in the ice cream!
We spent yesterday and today walking the halls, playing in the play room and watching Baby Einstein videos (the hospital has one channel that plays 3 Baby Einstein videos over and over again...unfortunately, none of the other channels were age-appropriate for Natalie, so we used the Baby Einstein channel when I had to go and get my meals). We're not playing our Baby Einstein videos at home for a long time!
Here's Natalie posing with her IV tree as we walked the halls. I was really proud of how she did during the whole hospital stay. I thought the IV would be a real problem, but she decided not to pick at it, so it wasn't so bad (besides the fact that she falls a lot and now had only one hand to catch her...and had something attached to her that she didn't remember to take with her when she ventured off quickly).
Isn't it cute how the surgeon cut the surgical dressing in the shape of a flower?
We made it! Natalie's surgery went really well, and now the sutures just have to heal. And Lukas and Konrad can't play rough with her for two weeks (hopefully it will become a new habit!) I think Natalie's going to have a problem with not swinging on her belly for two weeks.
Thanks to everyone for your prayers and kind thoughts. I don't think it could have gone any better (except if I'd gotten more sleep...but who's complaining?)

Hi Cindy,
I can't tell you how thrilled I am for Natalie and for your family that this day has come and gone. Natalie is amazing. Seems as though she handled everything well. Finally G-tubes are a thing of the past!
Way to go !
Glad it went well. Was praying for you Natalie.
Wow, its like graduation!
So congratulations! This is such a big step, she made it so far, from NPO to this!!!! AMAZING!
I am so proud of Natalie. . . for being a great patient and for no longer needing her feeding tube. I hope for a quick recovery. Good luck with following the discharge instructions! Sound hard with an active little girl! The gauze is super cute. KellyF
