We were privileged to meet a new RTSweetie today, Sophie, who is almost two months old.
Sophie's mom, Rachel, has three other cute little girls and is doing a great job with Sophie. I marveled at how well Rachel is doing...I was much more stressed out about getting Natalie to eat at that age. Feeding Natalie was an all-consuming subject. And that doesn't count dealing with the uncertainty of a genetic diagnosis. Bravo! Rachel, you're doing great, and Sophie is lucky to have you as her mom!
I only post this picture of all the kids together because I can tell you that Taegan, the little girl on the left, gave the SWEETEST smile to her mom--one that could have won a casting call for GapKids or something--immediately after we tried to get all the kids to smile and look up at the same time (Konrad obviously wasn't cooperating, either...he's very close in age to Taegan). Kira and Mika were doing a great job taking care of Sophie on their laps. It was a fun visit!
There are so few RTS families that we know in Southern California, it's always nice to connect with others. And seeing a newborn brings back memories of sweet Natalie at that age, too. Welcome, Sophie!
