boy!
Late Monday afternoon, Tom and I went to our 20-week ultrasound. The baby is measuring just a few days shy of 20 weeks, so we're still on target for end of April/beginning of May for a 40-week pregnancy (but Lukas and Konrad were only 38 weeks and Natalie was 37 weeks, so only God knows when this baby will come.) Everything looks good, and the ultrasound technician was confident in her prediction of a boy!
I haven't felt much movement yet, but yesterday I thought I felt a few bubbles popping, and it seems now is when I should expect to start feeling movement. I know in no time at all the kicks will be quite uncomfortable!
When I called the babysitter to let her know we'd be home a little late from the ultrasound, Lukas wanted to talk to me:
Lukas: What IS it?
Cindy: What is what?
L: Is it a boy or a girl?
C: Lukas, you're going to have another brother!
L: Brother. It's a brother.
Long pause...
C: Praise God, Lukas, it's a baby boy!
L: I thought it was going to be a girl.
C: Well, it's a boy, isn't that exciting?
L: Yeah.
And despite Lukas' initial reaction, we're now all very excited to learn the news and can't wait to meet him!

And my sympathies to Lukas. He's just going to have to find his own girl when he grows up. ;-)
A big congratulations to you and Tom. How exciting.. Three brothers for Natalie.. Wow...
Congrats Cindy and Tom. How exciting! I'm all curious about the name now! I know you won't say anything until he's born but I'm curious none the less.
