Boys and Dirt

They just go together, don't they?  Boys and dirt, I mean.

We've been so busy the past few weeks, since Tom set out to remove the lime tree (which ended up being more than he could put in the green waste trash can...and then we've been too busy on the weekends to finish the job), and the lime tree is still there, along with the freshly dug dirt around the roots (don't worry, the fungus is not dangerous to humans, just plants).

So I've avoided play in the backyard because I knew that any play back there would involve digging in the dirt, and we always had to go to Taekwondo or I was going to an OB appointment, neither of which leave time for cleaning up properly after a dirt bath.

Finally, today, we didn't have to go anywhere, so we played in the backyard.  And the boys got to get real dirty.  Natalie stayed nice and clean in the sandbox (poor girl didn't get a hot bath like the boys did...maybe she'll decide to play in the dirt the next time!)
