You know when kids get "stuck" on things? Well, Konrad is fixated with pointing out miscellaneous vans he sees and saying, "there's Daddy's van!"
For instance, this morning we went to Natalie's PT session, about 10 miles away. During the trip there and back, he probably pointed out six or seven vans that he called "Daddy's van". Tom has a full-size, 12-passenger van (we took the back row out for extra luggage space, so it only seats 8 right now), but Konrad points at minivans that are square shaped, as well as panel trucks (Tom's van has windows)...they're all "Daddy's van" to him. Even if they are the wrong color or have writing on the side, they're "Daddy's van."
This has been going on for several months. Earlier this week, we actually arrived home for lunch at the same time that Tom did, so I got to point to THE REAL Daddy's van on the road for Konrad...he didn't seem impressed. Then it happened again, the same day, in the afternoon, where we were driving and I saw Tom drive by in his van and pointed it out to Konrad.
Is it because he's only used to me saying, "that's not Daddy's van" that when I actually say, "there goes Daddy's van!" he doesn't know what to think?
