Wednesday, Mt. Pleasant, IA to Indianapolis, IN

My cousin Rachel and her husband Cal were our wonderful hosts in Mt. Pleasant.  One of the highlights (besides catching up with Rachel and Cal) was the kids seeing fireflies for the first time.  We also took the opportunity to visit my Aunt Elizabeth, who recently celebrated her 90th birthday.  And the kids had a fun time visiting the Thrasher Museum, where many working steam engines reside.  We went to a park that overlooks the Mississippi River while I fed Dominik and then we crossed into Illinois.  Our trek to Indianapolis was meant to include stops at covered bridges in Indiana, but Tom decided they might be a bridge too far  ;)  so we went directly to Indianapolis with one stop at a city playground.  Remember, all our stops are multi-purpose:  feed Dominik and stretch legs and use the bathroom.  It was too late for the pool by the time we arrived in Indianapolis, but we did stop for pizza first!
