Tuesday, Lincoln to Mt. Pleasant, IA

Another beautiful day of driving!  The quote of the day came from a girl at very small town playground when she asked Lukas:  "will you hold my frogs so I can go down the slide?"  Lukas:  "no!"  We had a fun time walking around this small town and seeing what a quiet life they lead.

We also stopped at the Montgomery County historical museum where Lukas milked a fake cow (water comes out) and the kids got to wear WWII GI helmets.  We've noticed that almost every town in Iowa (even the ones with a population of only a few hundred people) has a piece of military equipment in the town center park as a memorial to some war.

Iowa cornfields!
