Success!

No, I'm not talking about Natalie's first day of potty training (wearing underwear) at school, which was today.  That will be an OFF THE CHARTS success which will be achieved with patience, determination and more patience.  And we will celebrate with some kind of huge international party...we could afford it with all the diaper savings!

Today's success is that I had three children napping at the same time, for the first time.

Before Dominik was born, I didn't have three children needing a nap (Lukas outgrew his afternoon nap before Konrad was born). And since prior to Dominik's birth, Natalie hasn't had a regular nap where she lies in bed and sleeps (afternoon naps for her are 10-minute events in the backseat of the car on the way home from church or therapy).

But today, all three kids went to their beds at 1 p.m., the napping hour in our house.  Dominik squawked for a bit, then fell asleep.  Konrad fell asleep as soon as Dominik was quiet (they're sharing a room now).  Natalie, however, bumped around in her room for a while.  After 30 minutes and she still hadn't quieted down, I went in her room and discovered she needed to be changed.  After I changed her, I put her in bed and she suddenly became quiet.  She slept!

Wow!  Maybe I can get a nap!  I lay down, and then Dominik started squawking again (45 minute intruder).  He cried for about 5 minutes and then was quiet for another 45 minutes.  I tried again to go to sleep and couldn't actually fall asleep, and then it was time to feed Dominik and go pick up Lukas from school.  But I had to actually wake up Natalie and Konrad.  I think Natalie slept more than an hour, which makes me really happy.

And tomorrow...I have high expectations now.  I hope to not be disappointed!

Just a reminder for me that if you can do it with 4, I can do it with 3 ;) Can't wait to see what life will be like with a little one around again!
