Homeschooling Day at The Aquarium

Can you tell I'm homeschooling and have so little time to blog?  That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it.  This post is late!  Tom already blogged about last Friday's shuttle fly-by and hear I'm finally blogging about our trip last Wednesday to the Aquarium of the Pacific.  They had two homeschool days last week, where admission was only $6 per person (under 3 free).  Wow!  We dropped everything and ran to the Aquarium for the morning.

Sea lions in the background.

Lukas was all over touching the rays and sharks.  Konrad and Dominik weren't that interested in touching them, although they did touch sea stars and anemones.

Look out Dominik, there's a shark about to get you!

After coming inside, it was time to wash hands and have a snack...what a fun place to be while having a snack!

The boys loved looking at the many jellies.

Now you've got a spider crab after you!

The kids loved finding Dory and Marlin in this tank.

A nice visitor took our picture together.

It was a fun and easy outing, and I'm not ashamed to say that it was made much easier because Natalie was at school.  None of the boys wander off by themselves, but we always have to keep a watch on Natalie because she's fast and she will be gone in a second, with no thought of finding us again.

I didn't make it overly school related by having Lukas find certain sea creatures and write things down and keep track...maybe next year.  This year we just enjoyed seeing all the pretty fish that we haven't seen in a long time.

That looks so fun! Stephen is a runner too, but only having one, it's a lot easier to keep a hold of him when we are in crowded places. I'm glad the boys had a good time!

Thanks Patti! I think the next time I'll be less stressed with Natalie because I'll know I only have to watch her...Dominik will stay with us!
