Today was a heavily anticipated day...Konrad turned five! He has been counting down the months and days until his fifth birthday for at least the last 9 months. He is so excited to be five!

Of course Konrad is already anticipating his next birthday, "then I'll be six, then seven, then eight, then nine, then ten..." but I think he's relishing being five for the moment.
Tom is trying to create/continue a tradition of watching snippets from "Tora, Tora, Tora" on Konrad's birthday, but I have to say that it didn't hold Konrad's interest very long...he was more interested in playing with his new presents, so we stopped the movie right after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor began.
