The Space Shuttle Endeavour

Last Friday we made the trek to LA to see the Endeavour (yes, it is the British spelling, since it's named after the British HMS Endeavour).  Tom and the boys saw the space shuttle fly over southern California before it landed at LAX and traveled by street to its final resting place.  And now we finally had time to go visit it!

There we are, in front of the Space Shuttle!  It was quite emotional for me, since I remember the take off and landing of the first shuttle, and the last shuttle, and of course many in between...but this was the first time I'd seen one in person.

And since there was a climbing wall at the science center, Lukas and Konrad had to try that too.

We didn't stay long because we had to get back to pick up Natalie from school...but we weren't sad to leave because it was TERRIBLY overcrowded with school groups.  Definitely won't go back unless it's a homeschool day, or during the summer.
