First Day of School 2013

We've been away (have you noticed?) and returned to start school yesterday. Before another day goes by, here is our First Day of School celebration. We really had a wonderful first day of school, especially considering we arrived home the night before from a two-week trip. Lukas, 4th; Natalie, 2nd; Konrad, 1st; and Dominik, preschool.

After dinner, we celebrated with ice cream in the backyard. Natalie has been on a kick where she doesn't want ice cream...

...but she finally joined us for a scoop.

Ok, I posted! Now to dig out from under the pile of laundry, and post some pictures of our trip. I have good intentions!

What Is This Blog, Anyway?

Cindy and Tom blog because it keeps us taking pictures, and taking pictures keeps us blogging. So come meet our cute kids (great photos to share), our talkative son (never a shortage of funny stories to share), our special needs daughter (we get excited about the little things she's achieved this year, like talking and swinging on a big girl swing), our second son, who works hard at not getting overlooked, by being exceptionally cute and smiley. And then we had another boy!

Lukas likes rock climbing, steak and salad, science, reading Narnia, Lego Mindstorm, playing with pipes, sprinklers and water, and helping his Dad with home projects.

Natalie likes PASTA, quesadillas, ice cream and blueberries, reading, playing with princess dolls, playing with train tracks, saying "hi" to her friends and singing any song you want to teach her.
