Painting Lessons

This morning I picked up a smock for Lukas to use while painting and told him he could paint after his nap today. I forgot Tom's parents were coming over this afternoon, but it worked out great! Lukas painted and got them to paint too..."Would you like to paint?" Who can turn that down? Grandma Alice is quite an accomplished artist, so I was a little embarrassed that I didn't have any artist's paintbrushes (I had planned that Lukas would do finger painting). So we used the plunger from a few medicine syringes to paint. Lukas is a pointillist (this year). Natalie looked on enviously...she would love to get her fingers into that paint!

After the painting session, Lukas decided to wrestle Grandpa...here he is tickling him. Then Lukas went around giving kisses and hugs to each of us, and a second time, and a third time. We really enjoyed their visit and hope they'll make a habit of it!
