The end of our long week

You'd think that booking a doctor's appointment at 9 a.m. means you will be seen within 30 minutes or so, right?

Not what happened this morning! I went to my GP this morning to have her look at a mole that I didn't remember seeing a year or two ago (she said it was nothing). Anyway, with a 9 a.m. appointment, she finally saw us at 10:10. It was exhausting to keep two kids occupied for that long in a non-pediatric oriented environment...at least yesterday when we had to wait an hour, they provided videos for the kids to watch while we waited.

Then we had some fun when we went to play with one of Natalie's friends, Genesa, while her mom visited her new brother at the hospital (above). Roman made a surprise appearance at 32 weeks (2 weeks ago), but he's making good progress toward coming home to see his sister. It makes me teary-eyed in a good way to remember the first time Lukas played with Natalie when she came home after 5 weeks in the NICU (he wasn't 2 yet, so they wouldn't let him in the NICU to see her). Here's a pic of that homecoming. We're praying that Genesa and Roman have a similar great meeting--soon!--when he comes home.

No more doctor visits tomorrow! Friday and Saturday we're working on the new kids room (packing up books, prepping and painting).
