Kudos to Tom for taking pictures even while sick. I was surprised how many pics we had when I downloaded the card.
Lukas had a snowball fight with Aunt Rose, and then he's standing next to the pile of snow on their back porch (the snow is accumulation from their roof and it's in an area that gets very little sun during the day so it will be the last to melt). Lukas is dressed in layers, but his feet got cold with just his rain boots on. One of Rose's neighbors brought over snow clothes that were a little large for Lukas, but we went home before he got a chance to try them out. Then Natalie is experiencing her second favorite pastime (after clapping hands), reading with Uncle Gary. Konrad didn't go outside, except to go up to the guest apartment and come back down to the main house.
Natalie got bundled up for snow play (she's waving at the camera), and slid on a sled for a few minutes (with me holding her on the sled and Rose pulling the sled). A few hours after this picture, I realized I was getting sick too, so we packed up the car and went home. On the way home, we stopped along side the road for Tom to adjust the carrier on top and Lukas checked out the fruit trees in bloom, and looked down into the irrigation pipe, "Is anyone down there?" He loves the echo.
That was our trip! We might try to visit Rose and Gary next month because this trip was so short, and we'll pray for snow again (it snowed yesterday, so we would have had fresh snow if we'd stayed). But it's a long trip with kids, and a lot of packing, so we'll see how it goes.
