Yes, we have no tomatoes...

...yet!

Here's how we planted the tomatoes: in pots on top of where I prefer to plant the tomatoes, which is probably why we have a nematode infestation there now (I need to rotate my crops). I bought the beneficial nematodes, and they should be arriving this week, so we can spray them all over our lawn and garden and get rid of grubs and other ground-dwelling pests, as well as the bad nematodes. There's supposed to be a marigold that also kills the bad nematodes, but I keep forgetting to plant them!

There are six tomato plants, with two hot pepper plants on the ends. We also potted two eggplants and a squash. I can't wait to have tomatoes, but it will probably be May before we get any.

Natalie and Konrad will require extra watching for a few weeks to make sure they don't pull out the plants, or the labels!

I am so jealous of your gardening! We have wind, cold rain, and more cold rain! I'm' glad the kids enjoy being outside with you. :)

I'm so jealous of your already warm weather! We're a good six weeks from planting tomatoes here in the Midwest.
P.S. It's French Marigolds that repel the bad nematodes.

Looks great! What fun! I tried planting tomatoes but it's not looking too good. I feel so bad for Jude . We might have to replant some soon!
