No, I'm not asking for help. I'm exclaiming how wonderful it is to HAVE help!

Kathrin arrived yesterday and it's been really wonderful to have her join our family for a short while. Tom actually knew Kathrin when she was eight, so it's fun for him to catch up with her and learn how people he knew in Switzerland are doing.

Konrad is usually suspicious of other women (because he ends up being left with them in the church nursery), but he's decided he likes Kathrin (I think the bath she gave him last night sealed the deal). All the kids like her, and she's been a tremendous help in the short time she's been here. But when you're used to doing everything (like I am), it's hard to know how to let go! I think I'll get used to it, and by the time Doris leaves in August, I will be completely spoiled!

Having an extra hand is amazing! You can get so much more done in a day. I hope you enjoy her stay, I'm sure the kids will be fighting for her attention soon.

Hi There Happy Ones,

We sure do miss Kathrin already...but we are thrilled that she can be of help to you and see California.
