I have a few sayings that I *think* I invented. "Not much sleep happens at a sleep study," and "When I'm fed up with my problems, I see someone else's and am content with my own" are two that I say a couple times a year. Here's one that I haven't said in a long time, but I was reminded of a few days ago: "Nothing good happens when they play with that tunnel."
This is how it started:
All fun and games, right? Taking turns being the monster inside the tunnel and chasing siblings...what could be more fun? And I guess I shouldn't say "NOTHING good happens when they play with that tunnel" because they do have a lot of fun with it. But it never ends well.
This time, the ugly end happened when one person got tackled and another person screamed and cried because they were hurt. Yes, the tackle was on purpose, but getting hurt can easily happen when one person can't see.
And then the tunnel goes back into its resting place, under and behind the sofa...to come out again at a future date and wreak havoc at The Happy Ones.

We have that same tunnel. I wonder what sort of trouble my boys will get into in the future. Good to have an idea :)
