Hot!

This weekend was another hot one!

Tom took his dad to the ER yesterday, where he was diagnosed with pneumonia, spent the night and is now home. Thanks for your prayers for a speedy and complete recovery. Thankfully Tom's mom is doing great. In the morning, we played in the back yard (sand box and blanket).

After Tom came home, he blew up the Slip n Slide that I purchased last year but never used. The kids loved it! Tom hasn't pulled out the inflatible pool yet, so this is the next best thing. After church this afternoon, Tom and Lukas had a squirt gun fight while Natalie played with the sprinkler on the end of the hose and Konrad practiced more belly time. Then Lukas started squirting Tom's truck, so Tom gave him the hose to practice washing his car (more slave labor).

Lukas has been great about helping with laundry, setting the table, vacuuming, making his own lunch, taking the trash out and now we're working on washing the cars! Whoo hoo! A life of leisure is right around the corner!
